tomboy is a multinational girl/boy director duo based in Los Angeles, CA. Collectively, they have lived in eight countries, own four passports & only have one continent left to visit.
Inspired by the power and possibilities of storytelling in film and photography, initially, they began working together on smaller personal projects, leaning into each other’s individual skills and backgrounds. His technical and practical experience in film and photography was an easy match for her background in writing and wardrobe styling. With each project, their fluency as a team has only strengthened to readily showcase the intersection of their singular talents. His knowledge of cinematography and editing imbues their work with style and structure, and her understanding of story and imagery imparts complexity and dimension.
As a pair, tomboy’s greatest strength lies in their diversity. Having two distinct yet complementary points of view brings a fresh dynamic to the process of photography and filmmaking.
