Alex Fischman Cárdenas was born and raised in Lima, Perú. He’s passionate about using film to capture intimate and honest stories from diverse individuals.
At 17, he directed the award-winning short film La Vieja Quinta, which traveled across the festival circuit from Los Angeles to Denver to Seoul. In 2016, Alex moved to the US to study film and graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Since then Alex has continued to direct short films (Alienación, Ovejas y Lobos) documentaries (Teeth, Starr), and commissioned work (Uber, United Nations, Jacob Jonas The Company, Pangea).
