Jacob’s roots are in documentary film. His body of commercial work includes spots for brands like Google, Secret, American Express, Converse, Nike, Macy’s and Dick’s Sporting Goods. His infectious sense of humor also allows him to effortlessly take on comedic directing for brands like Smirnoff and Bing, making his versatility as a director one of his strongest suits. Agencies including Anomaly, BBDO, Wieden + Kennedy, Campbell Ewald, JWT, Johannes Leonardo and Google Creative Lab have called upon Jacob’s directing talents in both the documentary and comedy realms.

Jacob’s production career began in commercial and documentary editing, which further developed his sense of the elements that must come together to tell a great story. From editing he naturally transitioned into commercial and music video production, which eventually led to his fruitful directing career. Jacob has been recognized by SHOOT Magazine’s Young Director’s Showcase, as well as an Effy Award, Gold and Silver Cannes Lions and four Clio Awards, including two Golds.
